Jewar Airport: The demand for providing permanent employment to the youth affected by the Noida International Airport being built in the Jewar area was being raised for a long time. In view of the increasing dissatisfaction among the youth due to not getting jobs despite giving land, MLA Dhirendra Singh held an important meeting with Yamuna Authority and Airport officials.
Greater Noida: The demand for providing permanent employment to the youth affected by the Noida International Airport being built in Jewar area has been raised for a long time. Many youths who gave their land for the construction of the airport have not yet got the jobs as promised, due to which dissatisfaction was increasing at the local level. Taking these continuous complaints seriously, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh has given instructions to speed up the employment process.
MLA Dhirendra Singh said that the youth of many affected families are waiting for jobs after giving their land, but they have not been able to get permanent employment as promised. To improve this situation, he called an important meeting in Yamuna Authority. Senior officials, CO and nodal officers associated with the airport project were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on the rules, eligibility, preference and selection process related to the appointment of youth who gave land. The MLA gave clear instructions that full priority should be given to those youth whose land has been acquired for the construction of the airport. He said that no eligible youth should be deprived and the entire process should be completed with transparency.
The MLA said that detailed minutes of the meeting are being prepared and the process of implementing them with immediate effect is being started. The authority and airport officials assured that the pending matters related to employment will be resolved soon. In the coming days, the final list of those youth who were promised permanent jobs will be prepared.
Along with employment, problems related to local development were also discussed in the meeting. Regarding the poor condition of many roads leading to the airport, the MLA directed the PWD to completely repair all the major roads within 8 to 10 days, so that the construction work and traffic is not affected. During this time, preparations were also made for the upcoming programs to be held in Jewar and the possible visit of the Prime Minister.
The MLA said that the people of Jewar are excited and ready to welcome the Prime Minister and this occasion will prove to be historic for the area. These steps being taken for permanent jobs and local development have given new hope to the affected youth and area residents that the airport project will accelerate the development of the area as well as become a strong base for secure employment for the youth.
