New Delhi. India’s largest airline IndiGo is once again in the headlines. There is an outcry at the airport due to thousands of flights being canceled in the last few days. While the passengers are angry at the company, now the employees have also raised their voice. An ‘open letter’ is going viral on social media, in which pilots, cabin crew and ground staff have accused the management of bad behaviour, excessive work pressure and lack of planning. Even the names of foreign officials have been taken in the letter.
In this viral letter, an alleged employee has alleged that there is too much work pressure on the ground staff, pilots and cabin crew. Many times there is a shortage of staff, due to which employees have to endure long shifts and fatigue. Some policies are increasing problems for the employees, but the management is not paying attention to it. It is also written in the letter that some senior officials who have come from abroad do not behave well with the employees and ignore their problems.
appealed to the government for help
The writer of the open letter has made a direct appeal to the Central Government to intervene and implement new rules for the employees of the aviation sector. The demands are as follows-
- Minimum salary should be fixed for ground staff.
- Adequate staff should be deployed in every aircraft.
- The rules related to fatigue should be reviewed.
- Strict action should be taken against operational irregularities and negligence.
The letter writers say that IndiGo will not stop from paying fair wages, but if the employees are not given respect and comfort then both the image and operations of the airline may be in danger.
Also took the names of senior officers
This letter is also in discussion because it takes the names of many top officials and says that the management does not pay attention to the Indian employees. Many decisions are taken lightly and due to this the passengers have to face problems and the employees have to face a lot of stress. Questions have been raised in the letter on some foreign officials, alleging that employee-management relations have deteriorated since their arrival.
