If a pensioner gets pension from any bank covered under the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, then he does not need to visit the bank in person. Any nominated officer of that foreign bank can sign the life certificate of the pensioner. After signing, you can submit your life certificate and your pension will continue.
Second facility for foreign pensioners
On behalf of pensioners living abroad or people taking family pension, their authorized agent can submit the life certificate in India. For this, the life certificate should be signed by an Indian magistrate, notary, bank officer or diplomatic representative.
