According to the information, the air of Baddi, the industrial city of Solan in Himachal Pradesh, is very bad. The AQI here is more than 300 and on December 18, the AQI here was recorded at 345. In the last one week, the air quality is continuously deteriorating.
According to Pollution Control Board data, Shimla’s AQI was measured at 67 on December 15, which is satisfactory, similarly, Dadi in Dharamshala had an AQI of 43. Apart from this, it was estimated at 38 in Manali, 76 in Una, 57 in Parwanoo, Sundernagar 38, Nalagarh 111, Kala Amb of Sirmaur 153, Paonta Sahib 134. However, on December 16, 37 AQI was recorded in Shimla, 41 in Dharamshala (Kotwali Bazar), 28 in Manali and 300 in Baddi.
Why is there so much in Baddi?
There are many factories in Baddi of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The smoke coming out here is also the reason for high AQI. Besides, movement of heavy vehicles, construction work, open burning of garbage and dust blowing on the roads are the causes of air pollution. Importantly, the Pollution Control Board has also issued a notice to four lane companies for spraying water.

Pollution in Delhi NCR and Haryana has crossed dangerous levels. In Delhi, 437 AQI was recorded in Anand Vihar, 396 in Rohini, 436 in Vivek Vihar, 391 in Ashok Vihar, 436 in RK Puram, 404 in Wazirpur and 386 in Chandni Chowk. AQI is continuously increasing and if there is no rain, the situation may worsen.
