Ram Babu, who started this work after not getting a job, is earning good income from the cart today and is dreaming of converting it into a brand.
Dhanbad Famous Rabdi Jalebi: It is said that hard work never goes waste. Something similar has been done by young Ram Babu, a resident of Jharia, who has been making a new identity with his hard work for the last five years by selling rabri and jalebi in the Chowpatty, right in front of Dhanbad Police Line ISM Institute. After completing his studies, Ram Babu went in search of a good job but did not get success, but he did not give up. Seeing the financial condition of the family, he started a roadside rabri-jalebi shop and today it has become his support.
Jalebi is a lot of hard work
Ram Babu tells that the method of preparing Jalebi is very laborious. For this, a special solution is made by mixing urad dal, gram flour, flour and light yellow color 12 hours in advance. Then with the help of a cloth this solution is poured into hot refined oil and shaped into jalebi. After that it is dipped in syrup and given to the customers. About 3 kg flour, 1 kg gram flour, 2 kg urad dal, 10 kg sugar and 5 kg refined oil are consumed every day.
30 kg milk is required daily for Rabdi.
To prepare Rabdi, about 30 kg milk is cooked on low flame for hours. Thick and tasty Rabdi is prepared by mixing half a kilo of khoya and about 300 grams of almonds and pistachios. Every day about 10 kg of Rabdi is made and sold, the price of which is Rs 500 per kg.
Amazing taste for 60 rupees
The price of Jalebi here is Rs 200 per kg. A plate of 100 grams of Rabdi and four pieces of Jalebi is available for Rs 60, while a plate of two Jalebis and 40 grams of Rabdi is available for Rs 30. Ram Babu also takes orders from small events to weddings.
His aim is to make his shop a brand in the future and connect the people of Jharia-Dhanbad with his sweet identity. His hard work and dedication is an inspiration for many youth. Instead of spending time searching for a job, if you move forward with confidence in yourself, then success can smile even on a handcart.
