Tips and Tricks: Hibiscus flower is famous for its beauty, religious importance and medicinal properties. But to maintain its beauty, proper care is necessary. Senior Horticulture Inspector of Rae Bareli, Narendra Pratap Singh says that Hibiscus is a low cost plant. But it needs good sunlight, regular water, right soil and timely fertilizer. A mixture of cow dung, sand and garden soil is considered best for the plant. When planting in a pot, choose a pot of at least 12 inches so that the roots get space to spread. Hibiscus requires 4-5 hours of sunlight daily and should be watered regularly in summer. By applying cowdung manure or vermicompost once a month, flowers keep coming continuously. Pruning dry branches and spraying neem oil keeps the plant healthy by protecting it from pests.
