Officers in action after CM’s instructions
Let us tell you that following the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh Police has started decisive action against Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators living illegally in the state. The Chief Minister has ordered 17 municipal bodies of the state to immediately make a list of all the suspected foreign nationals working there. The government has a clear intention that no infiltrator trying to settle in UP with the help of fake documents should be spared.
Detention centers will be built in the state
Commissioners and Inspectors General of Police across the state have been instructed to build detention centers in the first phase. People living illegally in these centers will be kept until the process of sending them back to their country of origin is completed. Vacant government buildings, community centres, police lines and police stations are being marked in the districts. These places will be developed like high security zones, so that infiltrators can be kept under surveillance.
Detention centers will be under police surveillance
The government found that many Rohingya and Bangladeshi citizens were trying to show themselves as local citizens by getting Indian identity cards made. For this reason, large-scale verification of all suspicious documents has been started. In Uttar Pradesh too, like other states, the detention center will be operated under the joint supervision of administration and police.
Verification of documents is going on
Let us tell you that because the documents of Indian citizenship have been made by Bangladeshi and Rohingya citizens, they are being verified. Food, drink and medical facilities are also provided at detention centres. There are also strong security arrangements. The Union Home Ministry has also sent its standard operating procedure to all the states, after which now detention centers are being built in UP like other states.
