Who does Tata Sierra compete with?
It has come into the market at a time when this segment is considered to be the most competitive in the country. Sierra will have to compete directly with many established and popular SUVs. In the mid-size SUV segment, Tata Sierra will compete directly with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hayrider and Maruti’s new Victorias. In this segment, Sierra is expected to compete primarily with Hyundai Creta, which has been leading in terms of sales for a long time. The Seltos is also a major rival to the Sierra, which is known for its premium features and powerful turbo engine options. At the same time, SUVs like Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider make this competition tougher due to hybrid technology and better mileage.
