Fencing on both sides of stations
Sealda Division of Eastern Railway is preparing to end the habit of climbing on the track forever. Iron fencing is being installed on both sides of the stations and strong barriers are being installed on the sides of the platforms, so that no passenger loses his life due to shortcuts. First of all this work was completed at Jadavpur station. In the next fifteen days, this wall will be erected at twenty big stations of the division. Foot over bridge, subway and gate will be the only way. Divisional Railway Manager Rajeev Saxena clearly said, “To save two minutes, one’s entire life is not worth it. We are making our stations safe, just choose the safe route.”
