Income Tax Collection 2025: A big news related to the government’s earnings is coming out. The direct impact of the Central Government’s relief in tax slabs and early issuance of refunds is visible on tax collection. Talking about the data from April to December 17 in the current financial year, tax collection has increased by about 8 percent and has reached Rs 17.05 lakh crore.
It is clear from the latest figures that the government is getting good response from companies and taxpayers. Due to which strength is being seen in the revenue.

According to the data released by the Income Tax Department, the largest share in this increase in tax collection has been from corporate tax. Corporate tax collection which was Rs 7,39,353 crore last year. This year there was an increase in it and this figure has increased to Rs 8,17,310 crore.
Which shows that both the earnings and taxes of corporate companies have strengthened. Talking about the data, the total net direct tax collection so far this financial year is Rs 17,04,725 crore. Last year this number was Rs 15,78,433 crore.
Strong support even from common taxpayers
There is also an increase in the collection of non-corporate tax, i.e. tax received from salary earners, professionals and small businessmen. This figure has reached Rs 8,46,905 crore. This clearly indicates that the government is also earning good income from personal income tax.
Government treasury also filled with advance tax
According to the information received, an increase is also being seen in advance tax collection this financial year. Till now the government has received a total of Rs 7,88,388 crore as advance tax. Which shows an increase of about 4.27 percent.
