Kolkata Gita Path: Five lakh people will participate in the Gita Path organized by Sanatan Sanskriti Sansad in Kolkata on 7th December. Along with Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose, Baba Ramdev, Dhirendra Shastri and Karthik Maharaj will also participate in this program.
Kolkata. Five lakh people will participate in the Geeta recital going to be held in Kolkata on 7th December. West Bengal Governor Dr. CV Anand Bose and Baba Ramdev can also participate in this program. Organizers said that around five lakh devotees will participate in the Bhagavad Gita recitation being organized in Kolkata on Sunday with the aim of “spiritual awakening of Hindus”. Apart from the common people, yoga guru and businessman Baba Ramdev will also participate in this program.
A spokesperson of the event organiser, ‘Sanatan Sanskriti Sansad’ (an organization of spiritual gurus of various monasteries) said that West Bengal Governor C V Anand Bose is also expected to attend the event titled ‘Ek Sathe Panch Lakh Geeta Paath’ (Geeta recitation by five lakh people). Ramdev, along with religious gurus Dhirendra Shastri and Karthik Maharaj, will address the gathering and participate in the recital.
“Apart from the Governor, we have also sent an invitation to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, but her office has not yet responded. This is a spiritual program with no political connection,” the spokesperson said. He said that Chapters 1, 9 and 18 of Bhagavad Gita will be recited together.
Karthik Maharaj, one of the organizers and head of the Beldanga (Murshidabad) branch of Bharat Sevashram Sangh, said, “We will spread the message of communal harmony at the event.”
