Severe cold has started from Delhi to Bihar and from Rajasthan to Maharashtra. Delhi-NCR is in the grip of dense smog for the last two days. Although the minimum temperature has increased, the Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of a drop of up to 2 degrees in Delhi-NCR in the next three days. At the same time, many districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are experiencing severe cold. The weather department has predicted that the mercury will fall further in the coming 24 hours. At the same time, a cold wave like situation is prevailing in Punjab and Haryana. The Meteorological Department said that the temperature in East Rajasthan remains much below normal. At the same time, warning of severe cold has been issued in Telangana along with Central Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
Jet stream will bring cold!
The Meteorological Department said that due to western disturbance and jet stream, there is a possibility of light rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh. There is a possibility of snowfall in the mountains by the end of this week. Due to the jet stream running from the distant polar region, there is a possibility of severe cold in the mountains and severe cold in the plains. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of the temperature falling by two degrees Celsius in North-West India for the next three days. However, it happens in the entire country for the next 7 days. There is no possibility of any change in the weather.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of the most severe cold wave in Telangana and Interior Karnataka. According to the report of the Meteorological Department, this situation will continue for the next 24 to 36 hours. At the same time, alert of dense fog has been issued in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha and North East states. In many areas of eastern Rajasthan, the temperature is likely to reach four to five degrees below normal.

- States with temperatures 1.6 to 3 degrees Celsius below normal- The temperature in areas like Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Central Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura etc. remains 1.6 to 3 degrees Celsius below normal.
- Areas with low temperatures of 3 degrees to 5 degrees Celsius- Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh
- In North India, apart from Punjab Haryana Himachal Pradesh Delhi NCR Uttar Pradesh, Bihar Jharkhand Chhattisgarh, the temperature remains much below normal. The feeling of cold is continuously increasing. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be a drop in the normal temperature in the coming 24 to 48 hours.
