Dharamshala Hotel Fire: There was a loss of crores of rupees due to a fire last night in the government hotel Dhauladhar in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. The important thing is that during this period the guests staying in the hotel did not suffer any kind of loss. Due to the assembly session, many officers were also staying in the hotel. Till now the exact cause of the fire has not been known.
Hospice. A fire broke out in the hotel of the tourism department in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh last night. Tourism Department’s Hotel Dhauladhar is located in Kotwali Bazaar of Dharamshala city. The fire first broke out in the kitchen of the hotel and then took a huge form.
As soon as information about the fire was received, fire brigade personnel reached the spot and started efforts to control the fire. At the time of the incident, top administrative officials were staying in the hotel during the winter session, who were evacuated safely.
On this occasion, HPTDC Chairman (Cabinet Rank) R.S. Bali and DC Kangra Hem Raj Bairwa were also present on the spot and took stock of the fire situation. At present, no concrete information has been received about the cause of the fire. The administration and fire brigade have kept a close watch on the incident site and the damage is being assessed. A loss of Rs 10 to 15 crore is being feared.
It is being told that due to the arson, the hall, kitchen, restaurant have suffered huge damage and furniture and other items were also burnt to ashes.

It is being told that many tourists including CM’s Additional Secretary Dr. Harish Gajju, Assembly Secretary Yashpal Sharma, HPTDC MD Rajeev Kumar, Director of Horticulture Department and Additional Secretary of PWD were staying in the hotel for the Assembly session, but no one was harmed. It is noteworthy that there are a total of 27 rooms in the hotel. DC Hemraj Bairwa said that all the people staying in the hotel have been shifted to other hotels and no one has been injured. We have formed a team and the damage will be assessed.
