The family had given Rs 43 lakh to the agents. But now the son has not reached America. After Brazil and Mexico, now the young man is missing and the farmer family is worried.
KurukshetraAgents defrauded a farmer of Sarsa village in Pehowa, Kurukshetra district of Haryana, of Rs 43 lakh in the name of sending his son to America, The agent promised to send him to America for Rs 35 lakh in case he did not get the Canadian visa, but even after one and a half years, there is no trace of the young man,
Farmer Roshan Lal, resident of Sarsa, told that his son Uday Kumar had done PTI course. In January last year, he talked to his neighbor agent Baldev Singh about sending Uday abroad. The package to send him to Canada on study base was fixed for Rs 25 lakh.
The farmer told that for a few days the accused agent took away the documents, certificates and passport of his son Uday. Baldev was also accompanied by his associate Sukhbir Singh. They got his son’s file prepared to go to Canada, but after 15 days the accused told that his son’s Canada visa was refused. Then he assured to send Uday to America. In return he asked for Rs 35 lakh. He cited lack of budget, but Sukhbir assured to send it to America in one go. Promised that he would send Uday to America without any hassle.

To earn money he sold 7 Kanals of his land at throwaway prices. When no work was done for 2 months, he asked for the passport back. Then the accused assured that Uday would be in America soon and it was decided to pay the entire payment upon reaching Mexico. On 7 April 2024, Baldev and Sukhbir took Uday from Pipli to Delhi airport and got him a flight to Brazil. Uday stayed in Brazil for a week. As soon as he reached here, the accused started pressurizing him for money. Then he gave Rs 16.80 lakh and Rs 2 lakh to the accused.

The accused left Uday in Brazil with the promise of Mexico. Uday stayed in Mexico for several months, but the agent did not pay any expenses. During this time, the accused stopped picking up his phone and put his and Uday’s numbers in the block list. After that he contacted Rajat of his own village. A deal was finalized to send Rajat to America for Rs 24 lakh. Rajat introduced him to his fellow agents Kamal district Karnal and Jaikishan resident Ismailabad. The accused immediately pressured him to pay the money. He transferred Rs 18 lakh to the bank accounts specified by the accused and gave Rs 6 lakh in cash. Rajat also cheated on her. Rajat sent Uday to ‘Tapa Chulha’ (Guatemala) instead of America. Traveled from Ecuador to Guatemala in May 2024. On the other hand, even after paying around Rs 43 lakh, they have no trace of Uday. There has been no contact with Uday for about one and a half years. There is no news of his returning home or reaching America. They are also afraid of some untoward incident. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against the agents and started investigation.
