Kannur Bomb Blast: CPM worker Vipin Raj was seriously injured in an explosion that occurred while making a bomb in Kannur, Kerala. The blast occurred five kilometers away from the residence of Chief Minister P. Vijayan. A CPM worker was seriously injured in an explosion that occurred during bomb manufacturing at Venduttayi in Pinarayi area. This incident is also considered sensitive because the blast site is just five kilometers away from the residence of Chief Minister P. Vijayan.
After the incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the area and once again questions are being raised regarding crude bombs and political violence in Kannur. Police have started investigating the matter and efforts are being made to find out who were the people behind the making of this bomb.

The incident took place at Venduttai in Pinarayi area of Kannur district. According to the police, CPM worker Vipin Raj was making a bomb near his house. At that very moment there was a sudden explosion. The explosion was so strong that people nearby were frightened and there was chaos on the spot.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the explosion occurred during the process of making the bomb. Vipin Raj’s palm was badly damaged due to a sudden explosion while preparing the bomb. The sound of the explosion was heard far away. This spread panic among the local people.
What is the condition of the injured?
Vipin Raj, who was injured in the blast, was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Chala, Kannur. According to doctors, his condition remains critical and his hand has been badly damaged. The police is in constant touch with the hospital administration.
Why did police worry increase?
Police officials said that Vipin Raj has already been accused in many criminal cases. One of these cases is said to be related to a bomb attack on a local official of the Congress Party. This background has made the matter more serious.

Police are now investigating whether there is any organized network behind the blast and whether other people were also involved in the bomb making. Security has been increased in the area and the administration is in alert mode regarding political violence.
