Haryana ED Raid: In Panipat, Haryana, ED has raided the premises of BJP leaders Balwan Sharma, Praveen alias Ford and Pradeep and seized Rs 2 crore cash, 300 kg silver, 6 kg gold and documents. It is being told that ED has seized more than Rs 2 crore in cash, 300 kg silver, 6 kg gold and documents of properties from these places. Also, laptop, computer and records have been seized. Panchayat Secretary Praveen alias Ford, got a government job through sports quota and has been a Circle Kabaddi player. Investigation revealed that the accused used to mortgage property or land documents to send them to America via Mexico. This kept the money safe and no one could run away.

It is noteworthy that on Thursday, ED raided 13 commercial and residential premises including Panipat, Pehowa in Haryana and Punjab, Delhi. Different teams of ED’s Jalandhar zonal office conducted searches at business and residential premises belonging to Richie Travels (Jalandhar), Tarun Khosla (Delhi), Balwan Sharma (Panipat). This action was taken on the basis of information that 330 Indians were sent to India by America in February 2025.

Earlier, the ED team had also raided Kurukshetra and Pehowa’s agent had absconded. It is being told that last month there was a theft at the house of agent Vishal Chawla and about Rs 5 lakh, foreign currency and jewelery were stolen from the house. At the same time, there is a suspicion of the agent absconding before the raid. Accused from Himachal, Haryana and Punjab are on the radar in the ED raid.
