Raigarh famous kerra bada: Raigarh’s kerra bada is very famous. A 45 year old stall at Signal Chowk, where Top Singh Sahu sells hot Vada every morning. Available in a plate for Rs 20, this delicious vada has become the first choice of the people.
Raigarh: There are many stalls of Samosa-Vada in Raigarh city, but you will get to eat Karra Vada in the cart near Signal Chowk. Where there is a crowd of people waiting for breakfast since morning. Hot people get eaten within hours. When you go near this stall, you may have to wait for 10 to 15 minutes to get a big meal. Due to the large crowd of people having breakfast, only a short time is left on the plate. Due to it being very tasty, people take the parcel to their homes also. Earlier father used to run a shop, name was Karra
Director Top Singh Sahu told Local 18 during the conversation that it has been almost 45 years since his shop opened, earlier his father used to run this cart. His father’s name was Karra, due to which, according to his name, people also called the Bada made by him as Karra Bada, since then this name has been in use.
20 rupee plate, 6-6500 rupees galla
Top Singh told that Bada is made from rice and urad dal, along with onion, soda and salt, if vegetables are also available according to the season, then it is added in urad paste. Chutney is made by mixing garlic, ginger and gram. Bada is sold for Rs 20 per plate. Due to which he loses Rs 6-7000 per day. He sells his cart only in the morning.
