Actually, pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking work will be done on the Durgapur-Vardhman railway section of Asansol Railway Division till 23rd November. During this period, the operation of many trains will be canceled due to the modernization work of the Railways, while some trains will be run on diverted routes instead of their regular routes.
Asansol Division Information Officer Ashish Kumar Singh said that this work is being done with the aim of making the railway signaling and interlocking system more safe and modern. Due to this, passengers may have to face inconvenience for a few days.

Chief Information Officer said that many important trains of Howrah-Patna main railway section have been canceled during this period. Among the canceled trains, the journey of Kolkata-Nangaldam Gurmukhi Express scheduled for 20th November has been cancelled. Apart from this, the journey of Nangaldam-Kolkata Gurmukhi Express scheduled for 22nd November, journey of Howrah-Prayagraj Rambagh Bibhuti Express scheduled for 19th November, 20th November, 21st November and 22nd November, Prayagraj Rambagh-Howrah Bibhuti Express scheduled for 20th November, 21st November, 22nd November and 23rd November have been cancelled.

He told that apart from this, the journey of Kolkata-Ara Express scheduled for 22nd November has been cancelled. Along with this, the journey of Ara-Kolkata Express scheduled for 21st November, Howrah-Raxaul Express scheduled for 23rd November, Raxaul-Howrah Express for 22nd November, Kolkata-Darbhanga Maithili Express for 20th November and Darbhanga-Kolkata Maithili Express for 19th November have been cancelled. Along with this, the journey of Howrah-Darbhanga Weekly Express scheduled for 22nd November and Darbhanga-Howrah Weekly Express scheduled for 21st November has been cancelled.
