On one hand, this Upla is used for cooking jaggery and on the other hand, Baati is also cooked by burning this Upla, but do you know how Upla is made from cow dung and what is the process of making it.
Rural Brahma Devi tells Local 18 that Upala, which is also called Kanda in Sultanpur. It is made from cow and buffalo dung, which is used as fire for cooking baati. Cow dung ash is also used as a sprinkler to protect the plants in frost.
This is how upla is made
The easiest way to make Upla is to first take the dung out of the animal stable and bring it to a place where there is full sunlight. Along with this, lightly ground paddy straw or wheat stalk chaff should be added to this cow dung and mixed well with water. Keep in mind that water should be applied in the same quantity so that the cow dung remains solid.
keep this in mind
If there is too much water, it will get wet and get spoiled. After that, it should be made into a ball and divided into small pieces and it can be made in two shapes. Make it thin in a long shape and a 360 degree circular shape and keep it in the sun. It will dry in the sun and become solid in three-four days. Now you can use it as fire for cooking bati.
