But do you know that steel utensils are not right for everything. There are some things which should not be kept in steel utensils at all. Keeping those things in steel utensils can later become poison for you.
Ayurvedic doctor Anmol tells that there are five things which should not be kept in steel utensils at all. Keeping them in these can spoil them and can also be extremely harmful for our health.

Curd: Curd contains acid. If it is kept in a steel container for a long time, it can spoil quickly and its taste can also change. Curd should always be kept in glass or plastic earthen vessels.
Pickles should never be kept in steel containers. Oil, spices, salt, vinegar etc. are used in making it. These things process with metal. If the steel is not of good quality then the taste of the pickle may change or it may even get spoiled. Therefore, to ensure that the pickle does not smell or taste bad, you should keep the pickle in a glass jar.
Steel and citrus fruits don’t go together. Therefore, keeping lemon rice, lemon rasam, or anything containing dry mango powder or tamarind in a steel container can reduce its spiciness and also reduce its taste.
Storing tomato based dishes in steel can affect both their nutrients and taste. The acid in the tomato can react with the steel, spoiling the quality of the dish. These recipes should be stored in glass or ceramic utensils.
