In view of the Congress rally to be held at Ramlila Maidan today, the traffic police has issued a new advisory.

Traffic pressure is going to increase on the roads of Delhi today with political turmoil. Congress is going to hold a huge rally today at Ramlila Maidan against the SIR campaign being run by the Election Commission to improve the voter list. In view of this Congress rally, Delhi Traffic Police has issued a major traffic advisory. In this, heavy traffic blockages and diversions will be in force in Ramlila Ground and its surrounding areas from 10 am to 4 pm. Along with this, the traffic police has issued helpline number 1095 and advised the passengers to use metro or adopt carpooling.

Traffic police have warned that traffic on major routes like Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Chaman Lal Marg, Minto Road, Asaf Ali Road and Ajmeri Gate will be affected. Commuters have been advised to use alternative routes and avoid these areas between 10 am to 7 pm.

Diversion on which roads?

According to traffic advisory, at Ramlila Ground congress rally Due to this, diversions will be implemented on JLN route as per requirement. During this period, heavy vehicles and buses can be stopped from going towards Ramlila Maidan from Delhi Gate, Minto Road and Ajmeri Gate side. People coming from Delhi Gate, Minto Road and Ajmeri Gate side will be diverted before entering JLN route.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

In connection with the rally organized by All India Congress Committee at Ram Leela Ground on 14.12.2025 (10:00 AM–04:00 PM), traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place in and around Ram Leela Ground.
