Jamshedpur. Chakradharpur Railway Division of South Eastern Railway has decided to take mega block from 20 December 2025 to 20 January 2026. This mega block is going to have a direct impact on the nearby railway sections including Tatanagar. Many major trains have been canceled during the block period, some trains will be run partially, while the routes and timings of some trains have been changed. Railways has appealed to the passengers to check the status of the train before travelling.
Major trains canceled
Tatanagar–Netarhat–Tatanagar Express (18109/18110) has been canceled on 20, 23, 27 and 30 December 2025 and 3, 6, 10, 13, 17 and 20 January 2026. Hatia–Jasidih–Hatia Express (18175/18176) will also not run on these dates. Tatanagar-Rourkela-Tatanagar Memu (68043/68044) and Hatia-Rourkela Passenger (58659) will also remain canceled on the above dates. Whereas Rourkela-Hatia Passenger (58660) will remain canceled on 21, 24, 28 and 31 December 2025 and 4, 7, 11, 14, 18 and 21 January 2026.
short termination and short origination
The operation of Howrah–KBJ/Howrah–Tatanagar Ispat Express (22861/12871) will be limited to Tatanagar. That means this train will end at Tatanagar only and will not go beyond Tatanagar. Similarly, KBJ-Howrah/Tatanagar-Howrah Ispat Express (22862/12872) will start from Jasidih only and service will not be available for stations before Jasidih. This arrangement will be applicable on selected dates from 20th December to 20th January.
Rescheduled Trains
Jammu Tawi – Santragachi Express (18310) will be delayed by 5 hours 30 minutes from Jammu Tawi on 18, 21, 25 and 28 December 2025 and 1, 4, 8, 11, 15 and 18 January 2026. Jaynagar – Rourkela Express (18106) will be departed from Jaynagar with a delay of 3 hours on 19, 22, 26 and 29 December 2025 and 2, 5, 9, 12, 16 and 19 January 2026.
diverted train
Puri – Yognagar Rishikesh Express (18477) will be run on CTC – SBP – Jasidih – IB route instead of its scheduled route on 19, 22, 26 and 29 December 2025 and 2, 5, 9, 12, 16 and 19 January 2026, which will affect the journey via Tatanagar.
According to railway officials, this mega block has been taken for track maintenance and safety works. Passengers are requested to get updated information from the official website of Railways, helpline or nearest station before traveling from Tatanagar, so that any kind of inconvenience can be avoided.
