Cemented sleepers found on railway tracks, Tejas Express stopped immediately, major accident averted

Unnao: There was a stir when a cemented sleeper was found on the down line near Magarwara railway station in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. After this, control was informed about sleepers being placed on the track on the Kanpur-Lucknow railway route. Tejas Express going from New Delhi to Lucknow was stopped at Gangaghat station as a precautionary measure after cemented sleepers were found on the railway track. Tejas Express reached Gangaghat station at around 8:52 pm. Due to lack of signal, the train was stopped on the loop line. Tejas Express stood at the station for about 27 minutes.
