Lions Club of Gumla is going to organize eye checkup and free cataract camp on 16th December. You can get treatment for all types of eye related diseases here. Besides, cataract operation will also be done here.
Gumla: Problems like dryness, burning sensation, itching, and redness of eyes are common during cold weather. Cold air reduces moisture in the eyes, due to which these problems start increasing. In such a situation, Lions Club of Gumla is going to organize eye checkup and free cataract camp on 16th December. You can get treatment for all types of eye related diseases here. Besides, cataract operation will also be done here. This camp will be organized at the Lions Club building located on Lohardaga Road of the district headquarters.
Here the needy will be provided facilities for eye examination, cataract operation and lens implantation. Ranchi’s famous eye surgeon Dr. Naval Kumar and his team will participate in this check-up camp. His team will conduct free tests and operations for various types of eye related diseases through phaco method. Also BP is going to do free sugar testing. Along with this, free blankets are also going to be distributed among the poor and helpless people.
Lions Club of Gumla’s Region Chairperson Ashok Jaiswal told Local 18 that a free cataract camp is going to be organized on Tuesday, December 16. Where the following eye related problems will be treated free of cost. There will be treatment for diseases like watery eyes, burning sensation and pain in the eyes, blurred vision, reduced vision or no vision at all. Besides, cataract operation will also be done here. Eye examination and cataract operation will be done at the Lions Club building located on Lohardaga Road in Gumla city. In such a situation, those who want to undergo eye examination or operation will have to bring a photocopy of their Aadhar card. Eye examination will be done from 11 am to 2 pm and the operation will be done till the patient arrives.
Along with this, the Lions Club will also visit the villages of Asur, Birhor and poor helpless people and distribute free blankets among them. Not only this, the club will also organize a free BP and sugar testing camp near the old municipality on Jashpur Road. BP and sugar will be checked from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
