Vaishali: In Vaishali, Bihar, coming in the middle of a fight between husband and wife proved costly for the brother-in-law. He had come to resolve the ongoing dispute between his cousin sister and brother-in-law, but in the meantime the enraged brother-in-law fired at him. The person was seriously injured after being shot. The incident created chaos. People admitted the injured to the hospital for treatment. The victim’s family accused the brother-in-law of dowry dispute.
The matter pertains to Bhagwatipur village of Sahadei Elderly police station area. Injured youth Anik Kumar had come to resolve the ongoing dispute between his cousin sister and her husband. But the situation became so bad that his brother-in-law Neeraj came out angrily with a weapon and fired two rounds. In this, a bullet directly hit Anik and he got seriously injured and fell down. Family members told that there was a fight between the husband and wife over the bike received as dowry. The female side had tried to explain several times, but the dispute did not subside. When the fight escalated again on Thursday, the girl’s maternal family came to resolve the matter through talks. Then suddenly Neeraj got angry and fired the shot.
Treatment continues for the injured
As soon as the bullet was fired, there was chaos on the spot. Injured Anik was immediately taken to Sahadei Elderly PHC, where seeing his serious condition, the doctors referred him to Hajipur Sadar Hospital. The family members are extremely worried about his condition and are alleging that Neeraj deliberately opened fire with the intention of killing. Here, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took immediate action and took the accused Neeraj and three members of his family into custody.
Police engaged in investigation
The police is interrogating the accused and has started investigating the reasons behind the incident in depth. Officials say that in the initial investigation the matter appears to be a family dispute, but the clear reason as to why the firing was done will be revealed only after interrogation.
