This disease is mainly spread by the bite of mosquitoes, which transmit the virus from infected animals to healthy animals.
In such a situation, Dr. Anil Kumar, veterinarian of Chas Pet Clinic, Bokaro, while sharing the information, said that this disease is spread by small mosquitoes (culicoids), which suck the blood of animals and transmit the virus from one animal to another.
Be careful if you see these symptoms
It is very easy to identify goats suffering from this disease. In this the body temperature of goats ranges from 103 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Along with this, high fever, tongue turning blue and swelling in the mouth are also seen. Symptoms like watery nose, decrease in milk production are seen and ultimately the goat may become weak and even die.
These measures are very important for prevention
To prevent this disease, animal farmers should first maintain cleanliness in the goat enclosures and clear water stagnation in nearby water drains, so that the outbreak of mosquitoes is reduced. Apart from this, choose a safe place for the maintenance of goats and make sure to put nets on the windows.
Do fogging or spraying regularly, so that mosquitoes are completely eliminated. Also, keep symptomatic goats separate from healthy goats and provide nutritious food and clean water to the goats regularly. It is very important to take care of them.
