The guard of the goods train standing on the track somehow saved his life by jumping. A question is definitely arising in the minds of people that when MEMU had started three minutes ago, at what speed had it reached that the loco pilot could not apply the emergency brake and the train met with an accident. Experts are telling what will be the speed of MEMU at the time of the accident and at what distance the brakes can be applied.
According to Indian Railways, MEMU 68733 runs between Gevra Road and Bilaspur. This train left at 3.50 pm from Gatora station, which is about 4 km from the incident site. Is at a distance of. Sanjay Pandhi, executive president of All India Loco Running Staff Association (IRLRO), said that if the train covers four kilometers in three minutes. It covers a distance of 65 km, which means that the speed of the train is 65 km. Must have been more than per hour. At this speed the train can travel three to four km. Covers distance. The accident happened at 3.53 pm between Lalkhadan, Gatora-Bilaspur. At this speed, a distance of about 100 meters is required to apply the emergency brake. If it is less than this, there is a risk of the train derailing.
Signal ignoring case
The accident is being investigated. It is being said that the loco pilot ignored the signal. At present the matter is under investigation. There are three types of signals: Rail, Yellow and Green. When a train has to be sent to the loop line, there is a yellow signal. Due to this, the loco pilot understands that the train has to be taken in the loop line and he reduces the speed of the train. The speed of the train while going in the loop line is 30 km. Should be hourly. In the case of a train which has to go through (directly) from the main line, it is ensured whether the train coming out of the main line has reached the next station or not. After this there is a green signal. As soon as the green signal is given, interlocking takes place, due to which the train passes straight. The reason for this accident will be known only after the investigation report comes.
