Amazon Prime Video has launched a feature for its users, the need of which was felt for a long time. Now along with movies and web series, 24×7 live news channels can also be watched for free in the Prime Video app. That means you will get both entertainment and breaking news in one app.
Now a separate News tab will appear on the homepage of Prime Video. Here you can play live news channel directly without any extra subscription or downloading a separate app. Its use is as easy as changing the TV channel.
At present this feature has been released only for US users. Initially, they are being given the facility to watch these big news channels:
ABC News Live,CBS News 24/7,CNN Headlines,LiveNOW from Fox and NBC News NOW.
Will this feature be available in India also?
Right now Amazon has not made any official announcement for India or other countries. But considering the large user base of Prime Video in India, it is expected that this facility can be started here soon.
Amazon says that by the end of December this feature will reach all Prime members across America. The special thing is that you will not have to pay a single rupee separately for this, it is included in the existing plan of Prime Video itself.
Prime Video is becoming an all-in-one hub of entertainment and information.
Amazon’s effort is to provide users with everything in one app, whether they want to watch movies, binge web series or stay updated with the big news of the day.
This live news feature will run smoothly on these devices: Smart TV, Fire TV Stick, mobile app and laptop/desktop browser. That means, whether at home or outside, there is no need to juggle between different apps to watch news from around the world.
