Manisha, a 19-year-old teacher resident of Dhani Laxman village of Bhiwani district, went missing on August 11. Two days later, on August 13, his body was found in the fields. The family members had expressed suspicion of murder and accused the police of not searching in time. Within no time the matter escalated to such an extent that the family refused to accept the body. In a hurry, all the employees of Loharu police station were suspended. The SP was transferred, but the family did not take the body. The Mahapanchayat continued in the village. just one demand
CBI started investigation in the beginning of September. Till now CBI has interrogated the family, school, college and all other people related to the case 5-6 times. The family members and the Panchayat members are again angry due to no disclosure from the CBI after three months, due to which a one-day Satyagraha was conducted in Dhani Laxman village today. During this, hundreds of people arrived and all demanded to quickly reveal the case and arrest the killers.
Government should urge
Manisha’s father Sanjay said that CBI has registered a case of murder. We and other people have been interrogated 5-6 times, but till now no information is being given about what the CBI found and when the investigation will be completed. Father Sanjay said that if the accused are not arrested soon, he will decide to launch a big agitation at the behest of the Panchayat. Farmer leaders Suresh Koth and Yudhveer Singh said that the government should urge the CBI to reveal the matter soon and the investigating agency should share the facts found in the investigation so far. If this demand is not met in four-five days, then a strategy for a bigger movement will be chalked out by holding a meeting with the villagers. Delayed justice also equates to injustice. Due to Manisha’s killers not being arrested, there is an atmosphere of fear among the other daughters.
