Benefits of eating mustard greens bhurji and the way to make it, note down the method.

The taste of green leafy vegetables is different in winter. The most special among these is Sarson Ka Saag, which is not only wonderful in taste but is also very beneficial for health. If you want to try something new apart from traditional saag, then Sarson ke Saag ki Bhurji is a great option. Let us know its benefits and how to make it.

Benefits of eating mustard greens bhurji

immunity booster
Mustard leaves are rich in vitamins A, C and K, which increase immunity in winter.

Rich in fiber and iron
It improves digestion and helps in removing anemia.

beneficial for bones
It contains calcium and phosphorus, which make bones strong.

Less calories, more nutrition
This dish is perfect for those controlling weight as it has less calories and more nutrition.

Material
Mustard leaves – 250 grams
Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)
Green chilli – 2
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garlic – 4-5 cloves
Tomato – 1 medium
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Salt – as per taste
Mustard oil – 2 tbsp
Green Coriander – to garnish

Method of preparation
First of all, wash the mustard leaves thoroughly and chop them finely.
Heat mustard oil in a pan and cook till smoke comes out.
Add garlic, ginger and green chillies and fry.
Add onion and cook until golden.
Add tomatoes and fry until soft.
Now add turmeric, red chilli and salt.
Add chopped mustard leaves and cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes.
When the greens become soft and the water dries up, turn off the gas.
Garnish by adding green coriander on top.

serving method
Serve Sarson ke Saag Bhurji with hot roti, paratha or bajra roti. If you want, add some ghee on top, the taste will double.

healthy tips
Use only mustard oil, because it keeps the body warm in winter.
If you want, you can increase the protein by adding some cheese to it.
If you want more spiciness, increase the quantity of green chillies.
