Auto Drivers vs Ola/Uber Bike Riders Per Day Earning: In cities, many people go to office-college by Ola/Uber bike. In this, there is no need to argue with the driver regarding money. You will also reach your destination easily, but have you ever wondered what is the daily income of an Ola/Uber bike driver compared to an auto driver? If you are thinking that it would be only Rs 1500-2000 then you are wrong.
Recently, famous YouTuber Ankur Wariku has revealed the complete account of the earnings of auto driver and Uber-Ola bike taxi in his shorts video. Ankur spoke to an auto driver who has been driving auto in Delhi for the last 15 years. He also shared the details of his real earnings and when compared with the bike taxi, it became clear who had more income.
How much does an auto driver earn per day?
If we consider 15 rides a day for 7 regular customers, it would be around Rs 80. Three airport rides will cost Rs 450 and five sharing rides will cost Rs 120. This will generate a daily income of around Rs 2510. If we talk about one month, it will be Rs 75,300.
Now if CNG cost is reduced then Rs 18000 will be removed from the total income. After this, if you remove Rs 2500 in platform fees and Rs 2800 in maintenance, your monthly income will be Rs 51,500.
Understand the calculation of auto driver’s earnings
- If you do a total of 15 rides daily –
7 regular rides × ₹80 per ride = ₹560
3 airport rides × ₹450 per ride = ₹1,350
5 shared rides × ₹120 per ride = ₹600
Total day’s gross income = ₹2,510
Monthly gross income (30 days) = ₹75,300
- How much will it cost?
CNG = ₹18,500
Permit fee = ₹200
Maintenance = ₹2,800
Total expense = ₹21,500
Net monthly earning = ₹75,300 – ₹21,500 = ₹53,800
How much money is earned from bike taxi?
If a bike taxi driver does approximately 22 rides every day then assume 10 regular rides for Rs 55. Now if we consider 8 peak hours then it will be Rs 71.5 and for four night rides, the income can be Rs 77 per ride. In such a situation, the daily earning of bike riders will be around Rs 1,430. Now if we talk about monthly income, it will be Rs 42,900. Now we will remove the price of petrol from it which will remain up to Rs 7,500. Also remove the platform fee of Rs 750 from this. After this, if the maintenance of Rs 1800 is removed then the net income will become Rs 32850 every month. This makes it clear that autos are easily beating bikes by about Rs 20,000.
Now turn to bike taxi (Uber/Ola):
- If you do about 22 rides daily then –
10 Regular × ₹55 = ₹550
8 Peak Time × ₹71.5 = ₹572
4 Night Rides × ₹77 = ₹308
Total daily gross income = ₹1,430
Monthly gross income (30 days) = ₹42,900
- How much will it cost?
Petrol = ₹7,700
Platform Fee = ₹7,750
Maintenance = ₹1,800
Total expense = ₹17,250
Net monthly earning = ₹42,900 – ₹17,250 = ₹25,650
There are many other benefits of having an auto. Like you seat 3-4 passengers at a time. Apart from this, long rides like airport are available and CNG is also cheaper. At the same time, if we talk about the bike, it can easily pass through the traffic. Only a single passenger can sit in it. Most people book these for short distances only. Not only this, one has to pay huge commission for the platform and the cost of petrol also breaks the back of the riders.
