The Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police raided several locations in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday morning in terrorism-related cases. This action is said to be a part of ‘Operation Anti-Terror’, in which raids were conducted on the hideouts of suspected terrorist associates, arms smugglers and overground workers (OGWs). Apart from Shopian, the raids also took place in Pahalgam and Kulgam areas, where security forces searched houses, shops and warehouses.
An important hearing is going to be held in the Supreme Court today regarding the Special Revision Campaign (SIR) of the Voter List being run by the Election Commission. The apex court will hear the petitions filed against the voter list revision work going on in different states of the country, on which the eyes of political parties, Election Commission and common voters are fixed.
On the other hand, in the capital Delhi, along with cold, the sting of pollution is also troubling people a lot. Overall AQI 381 was recorded here on Tuesday, which is in the ‘very poor’ category, slightly below the ‘severe’ category. Yesterday this AQI was recorded at 420, which comes in the serious category, whereas the day before yesterday it had reached 450, which comes in the very serious category. The level of air pollution is slightly less today compared to the last two days, but still remains harmful for health. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), AQI remained between 300-400 in many areas of Delhi, which is an alarm bell for children, elderly and asthma patients.

Big relief to Gandhi family in National Herald case, ED refuses to take cognizance of complaint
Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court refused to take cognizance of the prosecution complaint filed by ED against the Gandhi family. The court said that the investigating agency CBI has not yet registered any predicate crime, yet the ED proceeded with the investigation. The court said that in the absence of FIR, the investigation of money laundering and the prosecution complaint filed on its basis cannot be sustained.

Arms and ammunition recovered from Natipora cemetery of Srinagar, investigation started
In a major success, security forces have recovered weapons and suspicious material from a graveyard in Natipora area of Srinagar. During the search conducted on the basis of intelligence, a Chinese hand grenade, about 100 grams of gun powder, 10 live bullets of AK-47 and 20 objectionable posters were found.

Attack on terror in Jammu and Kashmir, massive raid from Pahalgam to Pulwama
To break the network of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) took major action in several districts simultaneously. Based on inputs related to terrorist cases, the Intelligence Wing raided several locations in Shopian, Pulwama, Budgam, Kulgam, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag and Kupwara districts. Apart from this, search operation was also conducted in Pahalgam and Kulgam areas. According to police sources, this action has been taken to investigate terrorism related cases and to tighten the noose on overground workers and sleeper cell networks. During the raid, many suspects are being interrogated and objectionable material is being examined. Police has made it clear that this campaign against terrorism will continue in future also.
