The specialty of natural i.e. Ayurvedic treatments is that they heal slowly but provide relief from the root.
Talking to Local 18, Dr. Rajkumar (Ayush) of Rishikesh tells that washing neem leaves thoroughly and chewing them every morning on an empty stomach purifies the blood. This provides relief from ulcers. If you find it difficult to eat Neem, you can drink its juice mixed with water. Tulsi also cools the body from inside and prevents the spread of infection. Chewing basil leaves or drinking basil tea is very beneficial in ulcers. Turmeric also helps in healing ulcers faster due to its antiseptic properties. Drinking lukewarm milk with turmeric at night reduces swelling in the body and also increases immunity.
These remedies are also beneficial
According to Dr. Rajkumar, applying aloe vera gel directly on the blisters provides instant cooling and reduces burning sensation. Aloe vera leaves the skin cool, comfortable and moisturized. Drinking Giloy juice every morning increases the body’s immunity and reduces the chances of recurrence of ulcers. Coconut water also provides coolness to the body and removes dehydration. Blisters often start due to lack of water in the body. In such a situation, consumption of coconut water, buttermilk or plain curd provides great relief.
Dr. Rajkumar tells that the easiest and immediate relief remedy is the use of ice. Wrap an ice cube in a cloth and apply it slowly on the blistered area. This provides immediate relief from burning, itching and pain. Ice reduces the swelling of the blister area and provides relief by providing coolness. But keep in mind that do not keep ice directly on the skin, but always use it wrapped in a soft cloth. By doing this two to three times a day, the blisters start drying up faster and the pain also reduces. If the blisters are inside the mouth, then keep ice in the mouth and let it melt. This will also provide relief.
