New Delhi. Delhi Police has achieved another major success in the ongoing operation against gang war and interstate crime syndicates in Delhi-NCR. Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested the hardcore and most wanted criminal of Bavaria Gang, Sanjay alias Jhallu from Mandi Govindgarh, Punjab. A total of 34 cases are registered against Jhallu in Delhi and UP, while in 6 cases he was declared a ‘Proclaimed Offender’ by the court. Delhi Police has been taking swift action against Lawrence Bishnoi, Gogi, Tillu Tajpuria, Bawana and other organized gangs for the last few days. Under this campaign, the capture of this dangerous member of Bavaria Gang is being considered a big achievement for the police.
The Crime Branch team had received secret information that Sanjay alias Jhallu, an active member of the Bavaria Gang, was hiding in Mandi Govindgarh, Punjab. A team of several police officers including Inspector Pawan Kumar was formed under the supervision of Crime Branch ACP Bhagwati Prasad. After technical monitoring, local intelligence and two weeks of continuous tracking, the team confirmed its exact location. On December 7, the Crime Branch team raided Punjab and arrested Sanjay in a sudden raid like a film scene.
Countdown of gangsters in Delhi-NCR
Delhi Police’s investigation revealed that Sanjay alias Jhallu had left studies after 6th class. First he learned motorcycle repairing, then worked as a laborer and then took to the path of crime to earn easy money. He was involved in serious crimes like snatching, robbery, arms smuggling, theft and attempt to murder in Delhi, UP, Punjab, Haryana and South India. The first major action was taken against him in 2019, but as soon as he came out on bail in 2021, he again started crime by forming a gang. Due to his continuous avoidance of appearing in the court, a flurry of notices were issued to him from the courts.
Delhi Police’s attack on interstate gangs
There are 34 cases registered against Sanjay, of which 18 are in Delhi, 16 in UP and other states. Cases have been registered against Sanjay in many cases including murder, robbery, snatching, Arms Act. This accused alone was working like a small ‘crime network’. But Delhi Police has finally arrested him. In the last few days, swift action is being taken against many gangs in Delhi-NCR. The strategy of Delhi Police is to make Delhi-NCR gang-free by the new year.
