Ambala: These days, the terror of stray dogs is continuously increasing in Ambala district of Haryana and every day stray dogs are biting some person and making him their victim. In fact, if we talk about Ambala district, according to the data of the Health Department, the number of dog bite cases is very high and in the last three months, around 1,000 dog bite cases have been seen per month. While a huge demonstration was seen by the people across the country regarding street dogs, their permanent settlement remains a big problem even after the orders of the court.

Gurpreet Bhalla, a resident of Lalkurti in Ambala, told that he was bitten by a stray dog two months ago, after which even today the marks of that dog bite remain on his leg. He told that more than 10 stray dogs are seen roaming inside a street in his area and the situation is such that now he is not allowing his children to roam outside his house due to fear. She said that she demands from the administration to find a solution to these stray dogs.
Navi Jain told that in her area, stray dogs have caused a lot of trouble to the people and in the past, stray dogs had caused a loss of Rs 2.5 lakh to her. He told that the wiring under his car had been cut by stray dogs a few days ago, due to which he suffered so much damage. He told that the number of dogs in the area has increased significantly and due to which the people passing by have to face a lot of trouble.
The number of stray dogs has increased in the areas
Rajiv Garg told that there are more than 25 stray dogs in his area and many cases of dog bites are happening every day. He told that even school going children are often made prey by these stray dogs, due to which now they are not allowing children to go out of their homes.
Pradeep Yadav told that a large number of stray dogs are seen in his area at night and a few days ago, when he was returning home from work, he too was bitten by a street dog. He told that teams often come to catch these dogs, but later leave them back here. In such a situation, he demands that a permanent solution should be found for these dogs, because accidents are happening every day due to these stray dogs.
Dog bite cases have increased
Ambala CMO Dr. Rakesh Sahal told Local 18 that a lot of dog bite cases are being seen in hospitals across the district and if we talk about statistics, a lot of dog bite cases have been seen in the last 3 months and in about a month, more than 1000 street dog bite cases have been seen. He said that the health department is fully fulfilling its responsibility regarding dog bites, and timely vaccination is being done in such cases in hospitals.
Dogs with rabies will be kept in enclosures
Chief Sanitary Inspector of the Municipal Council, Sunil Dutt, said that in view of the cases of dog bites, a place has been identified by the Municipal Council and soon the stray dogs biting will be kept there as an enclosure. He told that sterilization of 30 to 35 dogs is being done daily by the Municipal Council. He told that sick dogs will be treated in the enclosures, and all the dogs suffering from rabies will be kept in these enclosures.
