Under DLC campaign 4.0 at North Eastern Railway Headquarters, 52 thousand pensioners will not have to go to the bank for life certificate. Manoj Kumar, Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Yakub Sheikh participated.
Gorakhpur. A workshop was organized at North Eastern Railway Headquarters on Monday to make the nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0, being run for the convenience of retired railway employees, a success. With this system, pensioners will not have to visit banks for life certificate. Chief Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, Pankaj Kumar Singh said that banks, pensioners association and railway officials participated in the workshop. This workshop was very meaningful.
Manoj Kumar said that on the instructions of Railway Board, DLC campaign is going on in the entire country. There are about 52 thousand pensioners on North Eastern Railway, out of which digital life certificate of more than 90 percent has been made. There are 800 pension accounts of Indian Bank and 7,000 of State Bank of India in the headquarters area. He directed the banks to complete 100% DLC of the remaining pensioners soon and to make them aware by sending mobile messages to all the pensioners.
He said that due to accounts linked to Aadhaar, PAN and mobile, banks can easily complete this task, so that there is no need for such workshops in future. Chief Personnel Officer Manoj Kumar Pandey asked banks to prepare a Hindi video of the process of making DLC and send it especially to Group-D pensioners.
Railway Recruitment Cell Chairman Rajesh Kumar Gupta said that Indian Railways is the second largest employer in the country and currently there are about 15 lakh pensioners. Pension is not just money but the self-respect of railway employees. With DLC, pensioners do not have to visit bank offices and the certificate gets updated automatically.
Last year, 3.75 lakh DLCs were collected on Railways. Deputy Chief Financial Advisor Yakub Shaikh said that this campaign is being run to make the life of retired employees easier, in which the Pensioners Association is getting full support. Representatives of State Bank of India and Indian Bank showed power point on the facilities being provided to the pensioners and the process of making DLC.
