Mumbai-Pune Expressway: There are preparations to build another expressway between Mumbai and Pune, due to which the journey between the two cities will be completed in just 90 minutes, which currently takes more than 3 hours to travel.

In this series, there are preparations to build another new expressway, on which about Rs 15 thousand crores will be spent. After the completion of this expressway, the distance between two big cities can be covered in just 90 minutes. Till now it takes about 3 hours to cover this route. Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has also said that the work on building this expressway will start soon.
Nitin Gadkari said that another expressway will be built between Mumbai and Pune, which is part of his huge project worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore. After the completion of this expressway, the distance between the two cities will reduce to just 90 minutes, which is currently taking 3 hours to complete. You will also get relief from the problem of traffic jam. You will be surprised to know that the country’s first expressway was also built between these two cities. However, now there is a lot of traffic on it and the problem of jam often arises.
How long will the new expressway be?
The effort to build a second expressway between Mumbai-Pune has been completed. Its length is about 130 kilometers and it will take only 90 minutes to complete. This expressway will be built along the existing road. It takes 2.5 to 3 hours to complete the journey through the old expressway. But, after the new expressway is ready, this time will reduce to just 90 minutes. There is a problem of traffic jam at many places on the old expressway.

Currently, there is a problem of traffic jam at many places on the old expressway. There is a lot of traffic jam especially on the ghat section. Nitin Gadkari said that the new expressway will originate from Pagot along with JNPA and will go up to Chowk in Panvel. This route has also received official approval. Once started, connectivity between Mumbai and Pune will improve, which will benefit the common man as well as industries.
It is also easy to go from Mumbai to Bangalore
After the construction of the new expressway, it will become easier to go not only to Pune but also to Bangalore. After its launch, it will take only 5.5 hours to travel from Mumbai to Bangalore. This will also increase business travel, tourism and industrial travel between the two cities. The government has approved several projects around Pune city, in which a new expressway will be connected to Mumbai and preparations are on to connect another expressway to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. This expressway is estimated to cost Rs 16,318 crore. After completion of the project, the travel time between the two cities will reduce to just 2 hours. For this, two routes are being considered, one from Ahilyanagar and the other from Shikrapur in Beed district. It will also be easy to go from Shambhajinagar to Nagpur through this expressway, which will be completed in 3 hours.
