Badal horse of Rasalpur village of Samastipur is famous in Bihar by winning more than 40 medals. With the care of owner Amarendra Singh and training of Dinesh, Badal has become the pride of the district.
Samastipur: Be it an officer or a farmer, a rich man or a common man, animal love connects every class. Former MVI Bhuvneshwar Prasad Singh, living in Rasalpur village under Mohanpur block of Samastipur district, has given a different place to this love. His famous horse ‘Badal’ needs no introduction today. This is not an ordinary horse, but has made a name for itself from the district level to the state level on the basis of its agility, discipline and excellent training. By winning more than 40 medals till now, Badal Ghoda has brought glory to the name of Samastipur district in every corner of Bihar. Local people are proud of its achievements and consider it the pride of the district. This example of love and dedication towards animals inspires people that if there is dedication then recognition is certain.
The story of the victory of Badal Ghode was not limited to just private events, but it has hoisted its flag in government programs also. While talking to Local 18, horse rider Dinesh told that he has won more than 40 races with this horse. Badal secured first position in the program organized on the occasion of Bihar Day in Begusarai. On the occasion of Durga Puja in Raghopur, he surprised everyone by winning medals thrice. Badal also holds the record of winning the race thrice in Mile Pakdi of Vaishali district. Apart from winning medals twice during Bihar Day in Samastipur, Badal also showed his strength in the horse race held in Danapur. Its speed and balance in every race fills the spectators with thrill.
Dinesh says that behind Badal’s success is his special care and strict routine. Its diet includes gram, bran along with pistachios and almonds, so that strength and agility are maintained. Two people are employed for daily massage, so that the horse’s muscles remain strong. Badal was brought from Rajasthan in his childhood and since then he was given excellent training. The owner of this horse is Amarendra Singh alias Dandan Singh, who is also the current head of the Panchayat. They treat it like a family member. Today, Badal Ghoda is not only winning medals, but is also proving that with proper care, hard work and love, any animal can become extraordinary.
