Godda. The continuously increasing prices of petrol and diesel across the country have had a direct impact on the pockets of common people. In such a situation, CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is rapidly becoming people’s choice as an alternative fuel. After the metros, now CNG has started creating its own identity in districts like Godda also. CNG has emerged as a better option for drivers due to the three reasons of low cost, better mileage and environmental responsibility.
Saving up to 50-60 percent in fuel expenses
The biggest advantage of CNG is that it gives more mileage to the vehicle. CNG is much cheaper than petrol and diesel, due to which it is possible to save 50 to 60 percent in fuel expenses. Along with this, vehicles running on CNG spread less pollution, thereby maintaining the purity of the environment. This is being considered an important initiative amid increasing air pollution.
Savings up to lakh rupees annually
If the fuel consumption in your car is getting high, then now you do not need to move to big cities. The facility to install CNG kit in cars with petrol or diesel engines has become available in Godda itself. At an initial cost of just Rs 30,000, that too with complete documents and government approval, drivers can get a CNG kit installed in their car. According to experts, this expense is covered within a year and it is possible to save up to Rs 1 lakh annually.
CNG installation showroom recognized by Jharkhand government has been started in Sarkanda area of Godda. This center is located near the barrier of Kajhiya river, where the installation of CNG kits is being done by modern technology and trained mechanics. Tasleem Sheikh, the director of this centre, said that CNG kits are being installed here in everything from low model vehicles to hi-fi cars.
According to Taslim Sheikh, the installation charge of CNG kit ranges from Rs 30 thousand to Rs 85 thousand depending on the vehicle model and engine capacity. This amount includes all the necessary documents, entry in RC and full guarantee of one year. Free service and solution is provided in case of any technical problem during the warranty period.
Enthusiasm regarding CNG is also being seen among local drivers. People say that amidst the rising prices of petrol and diesel, CNG is a relief option. This is proving to be very beneficial especially for people traveling by taxi, private car and traveling long distances daily.
Overall, the introduction of CNG in Godda will not only reduce the burden on people’s pockets but will also prove to be a positive step towards environmental protection. If the number of CNG pumps increases in the coming time, it can bring a big change for the district.
