Tilyana Hanuman Sarkar Temple: There is also a Hanuman temple in Tilyana village under Gaurihar district of Chhatarpur district where such a rule is followed that Hanuman ji does not give darshan to anyone without clothes. The story of construction of this temple is also interesting. Actually, this temple was built by one Mauni Baba. According to the local people, Mouni Baba had applied vermilion on the idol without consecrating his life. It is said that Hanuman ji himself had given a dream to Mouni Baba. After which Mouni Baba brought the idol of Hanuman ji here from Chitrakoot and again Hanuman temple was built here.

This work was done without sacrificing life
It has been said about the idol of Hanuman ji that no person can apply vermillion on the idol until the idol has been consecrated. But Mouni Baba applied vermilion on this idol without sacrificing his life. When the local people came to know about this, they all said that a saint had applied vermilion, so it must have been Hanuman ji’s wish in this also. After this, Shrimad Bhagwat Katha was also organized at this place. So that all the gods come here and participate in the consecration of Hanuman ji.
40 years old Hanuman temple
After this, after about one and a half years, Mouni Baba started the construction of the temple in which all of us cooperated. Along with the devotees, a police inspector was also involved in the construction of this Hanuman temple. This temple was constructed in the year 1985-86. Hanuman ji sitting in this temple is famous by the name of Tilayana Sarkar Maharaj. After Mouni Baba left the world, disciple Haridas started taking care of this temple. A huge yagya was also performed here. Now there is neither Mauni Baba nor his disciples to take care of this temple. That’s why we take care of this miraculous temple of Hanumanji.
The servants of this temple tell that there is an old tradition in this Hanuman temple that here Hanuman ji does not give darshan to anyone without clothes. That’s why here a loincloth is offered to Hanumanji every day. Here Hanuman ji lives in dignity.
