Breaking News Today LIVE: Union Heavy Industries and Steel Minister HD Kumaraswamy reiterated that Srimad Bhagavad Gita should be taught to children from school level itself, as it would be a very positive educational reform. The Union Minister emphasized that his statement advocating teaching of Srimad Bhagavad Gita was not made for any political purpose or to create religious conflict, but was made solely with a view to building a better society. He said, ‘There is no need to explain the high and noble values of Srimad Bhagavad Gita afresh. However, at a time when moral values are declining in the society, the relevance of Geeta has increased even more. Krishna’s teachings are a guiding light for humanity, that is why I have said that it should be taught to children. I have also written a letter to the Union Education Minister requesting that Srimad Bhagavad Gita be included in the curriculum. It is not right that some people are politicizing this issue.
