His posting is considered important from both administrative and security point of view. Namrata Jain, known for her calm, working style and working at the grassroots level, will now take charge of a Naxal-affected and challenging district. Let us tell you, IAS Namrata Jain originally comes from an educated and middle class family. He passed the Civil Services Examination on the basis of hard work and discipline. After getting success in tough examination like UPSC, he was selected in Indian Administrative Service (IAS). After completing the training, he has performed administrative responsibilities in different districts of Chhattisgarh.
How has been your tenure so far?
IAS officer Namrata Jain has worked in important areas like education, women and child development, health, rural development and revenue during her tenure so far. She is known as an officer who does not remain limited to herself, but goes directly among the villages and people and tries to understand the problems. This is the reason why the government has expressed confidence in him and handed over the responsibility of the Naxal affected district to him. It is not at all easy to do administrative work in Naxal affected districts. Here, along with development work, safety, trust building and communication are the biggest challenges. In such areas, the officer has to win the trust of the local people, so that they can connect with the government schemes.
Priority to development and dialogue
According to sources, Namrata Jain is an officer who gives priority to development and dialogue. According to him, the problem in Naxal affected areas cannot be solved by relying only on security forces, but it is equally important to strengthen education, employment, health and basic facilities. In the past also he has paid special attention to better implementation of schemes in tribal and rural areas.
