According to the information, Naresh (40), resident of Multan Colony, used to support his family by driving e-rickshaw. At around 5:30 am on Thursday morning, he was unplugging the scooter that was charged at home. During this time suddenly there was a loud explosion in the battery. The explosion was so powerful that the fire spread throughout the house.

In this accident, Naresh died on the spot, while his 12-year-old son Sahil, 15-year-old daughter Vandana and 35-year-old wife Jyoti were seriously burnt. The injured were immediately admitted to Hansi General Hospital, where their treatment is ongoing.

As soon as information about the incident was received, Anaj Mandi Chowki police reached the spot. The police also called the forensic expert team, which collected evidence from the spot. The police have kept the body of the deceased in the mortuary of Hansi General Hospital for post-mortem. Ward councilor Dharamveer Majoka, who reached the spot, said that Naresh was a very hardworking person and was fulfilling the responsibility of his family by driving an e-rickshaw.

Gas cylinders caught fire

He told that it was fortunate that one of the two filled gas cylinders kept in the house caught fire, but due to the wisdom of the neighbors, both the cylinders were taken out in time, otherwise the accident could have been worse. The local people showed courage and helped in extinguishing the fire and immediately took the injured to the hospital. Police say that the entire matter is being investigated and the reasons for the battery explosion will be investigated in depth.
