Rohtas: Kochas Nagar Panchayat of Rohtas district of Bihar has started strict action regarding the collection of city tax on high-rise buildings and residential plots built in various wards of the city. Executive Officer Om Prakash Singh said that all the residential plots built in the Nagar Panchayat and their owners are being identified for the collection of city tax. According to the rules, it is mandatory to pay tax not only on residential houses, but also on hotels, commercial establishments, schools and rented rooms etc. Despite this, there are many such homeowners who have constructed their residential plots and have been living there for years but have neither registered for city tax nor paid the holding tax. To make such people aware, Nagar Panchayat employees are reaching their homes.
