Dhanbad News: Colonel GK Singh said that he has been serving the country by becoming the voice of India in the 26 January Republic Day Parade organized on the duty path of Delhi for the last 14 years. Selected soldiers from across the country participated in the All India Competition held in Delhi in the month of July. A total of eight participants were selected in this prestigious competition. On the basis of effectively presenting his views on the topic of national identity and patriotism during the competition, Colonel GK Singh has been selected to give a speech in the Republic Day Parade to be held on 26 January on the duty path of Delhi.

Service to the country for 32 years
Colonel GK Singh joined the Indian Army in the year 1982 and served in different parts of the country for about 32 years. Discharged many important responsibilities. He told that on the advice of his mother, he chose the army to serve the country. After serving in the army for a long time, in the year 2017, he fulfilled his father’s dream by taking charge of Bacha Jail, Jharkhand. His primary education was from Sainik School located in Jhumri Telaiya, Koderma. The foundation of discipline and patriotism was laid, which later earned him recognition as a successful military officer and speaker. Colonel GK Singh’s father was working as Inspector in Dhanbad police station. Recalling his struggling days, he said that at that time his father’s salary was only Rs 530, while the annual school fee was Rs 1230. His father had to take a loan to pay the fees.
Will give speech in 26 January parade
Colonel GK Singh became emotional and said that even today it feels as if he was taken by his father while performing his duty. Paying off that loan. This struggle and values keep them loyal to the country even today. While in the army, Colonel GK Singh took part in many adventurous missions. He played an important role during an anti-terrorist operation in Jammu and Kashmir, for which he was awarded the Gallantry Award. A district commander of Hizbul Mujahideen was killed in this operation. Apart from this, they had also succeeded in capturing alive six terrorists including the District Commander of IUM of Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Mujahideen group.
