Indore: Once again treasure worth crores and letters written by devotees to God have been recovered from the donation boxes of Khajrana Ganesh Temple in Indore. Counting continues for 6 days, God has also found foreign currency and silver jewellery. Thousands of devotees come here every day to have darshan and donate a huge amount when their wishes are fulfilled. Interestingly, during the counting, demonetised notes were also found in large quantities.

completely transparent process
There are 41 donation boxes present in the temple premises which are counted every 3 months. Earlier in July 2025, when donation boxes were opened, an amount of approximately Rs 1 crore 68 lakh was received. According to Shivam Bhatt, donations of around Rs 1.5 to 2 crore come every time. The counting process is kept completely transparent as the entire process is done under CCTV surveillance and with video recording. Its counting is done jointly by treasury officers, municipal corporation and bank employees. Later the amount received is deposited in the bank account.

In Khajrana Ganesh temple, devotees write letters with their wishes and put them in the donation box. This time too, a large number of heart touching letters have been received from these donation boxes. In one letter, a mother had asked for a cultured and beautiful daughter-in-law for her son working in Bengaluru, while someone had prayed to God to get a good job for herself soon, while someone had written a letter to God to resolve the ongoing dispute in the family, which was received during the counting of donations.
