Ambala News: Karate trainer Mohammad Dawood from Ambala, Haryana has completed his graduation. He is now playing the role of PTI teacher in a private school. Now he teaches karate to children from different areas of Ambala in his academy for several hours every evening and along with this he is also teaching self-defense skills to little girls.
Ambala. Many players of Haryana are making India proud in the country and abroad. A similar story is of Mohammad Dawood, resident of Sunder Nagar, Ambala, who has himself won many medals by learning Karate, but at the same time, today he is teaching Karate to the children of many poor families for free. Many players taught by him are making Ambala proud by participating in many state and national level competitions.
Actually, Mohammad Dawood has completed his graduation some time ago and now he is playing the role of PTI teacher in a private school. Along with this, Mohammad Dawood teaches karate to children from different areas of Ambala in his academy for several hours every evening. Along with this, he is also teaching self-defense skills to little girls.
Talking to Local 18, karate coach Mohammad Dawood told that when he was studying in fifth class, he started learning karate from teacher Rajesh Tomar. He told that during that time, after losing one or two tournaments in Karate, he became curious about this sport and then started practicing for several hours daily.
He told that till now he has won many gold and silver medals in karate at state and national level. Recently he has also won gold medal in 67 kg weight category in Haryana Olympics. He told that his dream is to go abroad and make India proud and for this he has opened a Karate Academy with the money saved by his family and himself. He told that he is working to make many children of Ambala champions by giving them free training. He told that today his hard work is slowly bearing fruits and many children of his academy are making Ambala proud in state and national level competitions. He said that 40 to 50 children come to his academy every day to learn karate.
He told that his father works as a contractor in the Railways, but his family has always encouraged him to move forward. He told that today he is providing all kinds of facilities to the children in the academy and he wants to make as many new karate champions as he can in their life.
I have been taking training for seven-eight years: Kajal
Kajal, a player coming to the academy, told that she has been learning karate from coach Mohammad Dawood for the last 7 years and she has got to learn a lot by coming to the academy. He said that in today’s time it has become very important for girls to have self-defense. In such a situation, coach Mohammad Dawood is giving free karate training to many children of the surrounding areas. She told that recently she has also won bronze medal in Khel Mahakumbh and Haryana Olympics and she thanks her coach for this. Player Arman told that he did not have money to learn Karate, because thousands of rupees have to be paid to learn this game in big academies. But Mohammad Dawood has worked to make him a karate champion and today he has won gold medal and silver medal in many competitions. He said that he wants to go abroad and participate in karate competitions in the future and bring glory to his coach and the country.
