Rabia Bibi is a resident of Kalyanpur village under Chainpur block of Palamu district. Rabia Bibi’s husband used to work as a labourer. Despite working hard day and night, his monthly income was only Rs 7000 to 8000. With this limited income, it became very difficult to manage the family’s expenses. Fulfilling the needs of children’s education and household was no less than a challenge.

Seeing the financial condition of the family, Rabia Bibi’s father advised her to open a clothes shop. Rabia Bibi also wanted to do something, but the biggest problem was money. There was no capital to open a shop, due to which his dream remained unfulfilled. Then he got the information about joining the self-help group.
Help received by joining the group
Rabia Bibi decided to take a loan by joining a self-help group. He got a loan of Rs 20 thousand through the group. With this amount he opened the first clothes shop in his village. This shop was the first clothes shop in his village, which provided a lot of convenience to the villagers.

Rabia told that the first one or two months of opening the shop were quite challenging. Customers came less and sales were also limited, but Rabia Bibi did not give up. Today Rabia Bibi is earning Rs 20 to 25 thousand a month from her shop. She told that now she wants to expand the shop by taking more loan. His dream is that his business should grow further in the future and he can become completely self-reliant.
