Under Bharat Mala Project, the construction work of Amas Darbhanga six lane road in Darbhanga is progressing rapidly. With the construction of this road, the connectivity of North and South Bihar will increase and the distance from Darbhanga to Patna can be covered in 2 hours. With the construction of this road, the urban area will develop and the connectivity of Darbhanga AIIMS will also increase. With this, patients coming from different districts of Bihar will get better facilities. The length of Aamas Darbhanga Expressway will be about 179 kilometers and it will work to connect North Bihar with South Bihar.
With the construction of this expressway, economic activities will get a boost and travel will be safe and fast. This is the first green field and access controlled expressway of Bihar. Talking about its route, this road starts from Amsya in Aurangabad. It will pass through Vaishali via Patna and will join Highway 27 near Darbhanga Airport via Samastipur.
Government allocated budget of Rs 10,000 crore
The work of this project has been divided into four parts and its construction is being done by the National Highway Authority of India. The construction of this road will greatly benefit the people of Darbhanga and it will be an important step in the development of the city. With the construction of this road, the areas around Darbhanga will also develop and people will get new employment opportunities. This will improve the economic condition of Darbhanga and also increase the standard of living of the people of the city. The government has allocated a budget of about Rs 10,000 crore for this project.
