Muzaffarpur. In the cold season, as the evening approaches, people want to eat some spicy and hot breakfast. In such a situation, the Kachnar (August) trees planted in the courtyard or surrounding areas of the house can prove to be a great source of tasty and nutritious breakfast for you. Kachnar flower is not only good for health, but the pakodas made from it are also excellent in taste. This dish is especially liked in local homes during winter.
How to make Kachnar Pakodas
The process of making Kachnar Pakodas is easy, but it is very important to follow the correct method. First of all, fresh Kachnar flowers should be plucked and the green stalk attached to them should be carefully removed. This is because this part of the flower can bring bitterness in the taste of pakoda. After removing the stems, wash the flowers thoroughly in clean water and keep them aside.
Mix spices in gram flour
After this, take gram flour in a vessel and mix finely chopped onion, green chilli, coriander leaves and curry leaves in it. To enhance the taste and aroma, add celery, nigella (nigella), turmeric, red chilli and salt as per taste. You can also add a little vegetable masala powder or kitchen king powder as per your choice.
Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside
After mixing all these things, prepare a thick solution by adding some water. After adding washed Kachnar flowers to it, make small balls from the mixture. Now heat oil in a pan and put these balls on medium flame and fry them till they turn golden. When the pakodas start looking crunchy from outside and soft from inside, then understand that they are completely ready to serve.
Gives many benefits to the body
The taste of Kachnar pakoda increases even more when served with chutney, chuda or hot tea. This snack is not only delicious but also nutritious, because Kachnar is considered as a medicinal plant in Ayurveda. It provides many benefits from increasing digestive power to keeping the body warm.
